Muslim Day at the Capitol (MDAC)

Muslim Day at the Capitol is a yearly advocacy event where we connect the Muslim community in Washington State with their elected officials and lawmakers through personal meetings – it's a chance for Muslims in Washington state to speak directly to elected representatives and advocate for legislation that matters to our communities. This year we are hosting two events for MDAC, both co-hosted by CAIR Washington and Somali Health Board.

Part I: Virtual MDAC Policy Meetings on Wednesday, March 1st This event has passed. You can watch the educational videos on our YouTube channel, at CAIR-WA on YouTube

Part II: In-Person MDAC Day of Action on Monday, March 20th – a tour of the Capitol building in Olympia, community building, and advocacy.

The in-person MDAC Day of Action is days before Ramadan and during UW’s spring break – kick off your Ramadan by showing up and telling Washington state’s lawmakers that Muslims matter.
