2011 4th of July Parades

This year local Muslims participated in the 4th of July Parades across the Puget Sound, including those in Bothell, Burien and Olympia.  CAIR-WA co-organized a Muslim contingent for the Burien 4th of July Parade.   The Muslim teams carried banners and American flags, and tossed candy at parade watchers. MLYP 2011

This exciting five day event introduced American Muslim youth to powerful careers where professionals have opportunities to shape public opinion and public policy as a course of their work.  Through meetings with elected officials and top executives in media, law, PR, lobbying, and other important fields in which Muslims are underrepresented in, participants were able to explore careers in those fields.
