On April 15th, a group of students from the Seattle extension of the Calvary Chapel Bible College visited the Umar al Farooq mosque in the city of Mountlake Terrace, WA.

The event was organized by CAIR-WA and hosted by local Muslims including Jamil Vaughn Shoot of the interfaith committee at the Umar al Farooq mosque.

The gathering consisted of three major elements: clarifying myths and misconceptions of Islam and Muslims, a Q&A-driven discussion including first hand accounts of the American Muslim experience, and more conversation over snacks and refreshments. Overall the event was an extremely rewarding experience for all involved.
