CAIR-WA Outreach Coordinator Testifies at Port of Seattle Commission Meeting

CAIR-WA Coordinators participate in public hearing

On Tuesday, December 7 CAIR-WA Community Outreach Coordinator Abigail Stahl and Civil Rights Coordinator Jennifer Gist participated in a public hearing held by Port of Seattle's Commission, to support Puget Sound Sage, a CAIR-WA ally organization working for economic justice. The commissioners were discussing the upcoming Clean Ports Act 2010, and hearing testimonies from a variety of community leaders.

Bible College Students Visit Local Mosque

CAIR-WA Facilitate Bible College Visit

On April 15th, a group of students from the Seattle extension of the Calvary Chapel Bible College visited the Umar al Farooq mosque in the city of Mountlake Terrace, WA.

The event was organized by CAIR-WA and hosted by local Muslims including Jamil Vaughn Shoot of the interfaith committee at the Umar al Farooq mosque.
