“We are sorry to see Abigail leave us, but at the same time we fully support her pursuit of greater skills and experience in internationally focused work” said Arsalan Bukhari, Executive Director.

“Abigail’s commitment to her work led her to surpass expectations. During her tenure with us, she worked tirelessly and built strong working relationships with well over 50 important organizational and academic leaders.  This has provided CAIR-WA and the local Muslim community with visibility, credibility and the wide support we need in our ongoing work to educate the wider community and to fight defamation of Islam and Muslims”

“She has also worked to design and implement important processes, standards, and procedures in the areas of coalition building and human resources recruitment and development that have made us immensely stronger as an organization.”

“I have marveled at how Abigail has worked during her last few days with the same excellence, consistency and care as someone who was going to stay in the position for the next ten years.”

CAIR-WA’s family of board, staff, interns, and volunteer activists bid Abigail farewell and wish her the very best in her future pursuits.
