CAIR-WA launched its "Interfaith Engagement Project" in 2009. The project was designed to work with mosques across the state of Washington to connect Muslim leaders with leaders of their neighboring churches and synagogues. Since the project's launch, leaders of more than 20 mosques were introduced to rabbis and pastors of more than 30 synagogues and churches, leading to numerous interfaith dialogues, projects and joint social justice ventures.

Faith Action Network was created in 2011 through the union of the Washington Association of Churches and the Lutheran Public Policy Office.
