CAIR-WA Participate in Anti-Slavery Forum

On April 16th, CAIR-WA participated in a discussion forum titled "How do People of Faith Engage in Re-abolishing Slavery?" The event was held at the Free Methodist Church in Seattle.

The event began with an introduction to the organization, "Not For Sale," by its Director and other representatives. This was followed by brief presentations from representatives of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith traditions on how their faiths shape concerns on human trafficking and slavery. A CAIR-WA representative presented the Muslim perspective including Islamic teachings on the sub-issues within modern-day slavery. Participants also discussed ways to end modern-day slavery and human trafficking.
